Equestrian Yoga
Willaway Farm will be hosting an Equestrian Yoga day on March 19th, 2011. The cost of the clinic is $90.40 (HST incl) and incorporates unmounted and mounted exercises. Please visit www.gillianleighphillips.com for more details.
Willaway Book Club

Gemma
It is with many mixed feelings that we share the passing of Gemma, the wonder pony, this afternoon. First with Lea, 14 years ago and many of the years since, Gemma has been a part of our family and an important friend to many, many other people. She has been a teacher and steady mount to people from our youngest "not quite ready to walk yet" to (so far) an 89 year old intrepid rider. Gem showed, hacked, school horse'd, was "costumed", hand painted, excelled at Prince Philip Games, gave needed confidence to all ages of beginner and returning riders, and perhaps most fun for her and her partner of the day, Hunted. So many people felt she was "their" special friend. Thanks to everyone who made her feel like the gift she was. We'll miss you Gemma.

Show Season
Show season is now among us. We are proud of everyone who participated in the Foxhunters Show, Oakhurst Horse Trails, Pony Club Showjumping Championship, and the Radical Jumpers hosted by the OVH. Many photos to follow!
Canada Day
Once again Willaway Farm will be hosting a Canada Day Party to celebrate our nations birthday. All are welcome to join in on the fun and celebration on Sunday June 27th from 1-4pm. Donations to the food bank are welcomed.

Rider Level Testing 2010
February and March are designated Rider Level testing months. February will be spent preparing for testing in March. Please see Gillian for further details and visit here for the rider level candidate manual. Reminder that all students must hold a current OEF membership.

Unfortunate News
We are sad to announce that Willaway lost one of its beloved friends to colic. Picasso will be missed by everyone, especially his dearest friend Pet.
Fall Fun Horse Show
Willaway hosted its third horse show on Sunday November 1st, 2009. We had a great turnout and hope that everyone had as much fun as we did.

To Shay Clancy who received a fifth place at her first horse trial! Shay rode a wonderful dressage test and was clear for both cross-country and stadium. Great job Shay and Joy!

Canada Day Party
Thanks to everyone who celebrated the birthday of the best country ever! We all had a great time with paint the pony, face painting, candy floss, popcorn, snow cones, trampoline, and much much more!

Victoria Andrew Jumping Clinic - March 7th & 8th
Willaway Farm's first jumping clinic was a great success. Victoria had many "pearls of wisdom" to share with all of the auditors and participants. Thank you again to everyone for making our weekend such a fun one! Pictures and videos to follow.
